Insights Tour: ArtScience Museum
Thursday, 23 June, 18.00–20.00
ArtScience Museum
6 Bayfront Ave, Singapore 018974

Curators from the ArtScience Museum at Marina Bay Sands will lead a tour of the Asia premier of the exhibition Big Bang Data and the newly opened permanent exhibition, Future World: Where Art Meets Science.

Future World is a fully immersive 1500-square-metre digital universe, where 15 spectacular art installations are brought to life and evolve in real-time through visitor presence and participation. This permanent exhibition is a collaboration with an award-winning Tokyo-based art collective of "ultra-technologists" that includes artists, programmers, engineers, CG animators, mathematicians, architects and designers. For more information, see: http://www.marinabaysands.com/museum/future-world.html

Through the work of artists, designers, technologists, scientists, journalists and filmmakers, Big Bang Data shows us how the vast quantities of data created by all of us every day, are moved around the world, and used by companies, governments, and individuals, to shape the world we live in today. As Singapore moves towards becoming the world's first "Smart Nation" harnessing data and technology thinking to do so, this show is a timely opportunity to reflect on what the data explosion means to all of us. For more information, see: http://www.marinabaysands.com/museum/big-bang-data.html

Fee of US$25 applies, which includes group-rate admission to the two exhibits and one-way bus transportation to the venue. Only 40 spaces available and registration is compulsory. Please register here.
